Hello there, I’m Jamie.  I’m a firefighter and when I’m not working, I spend my time in the woods hunting. I’ve been hunting since I was 11 and have used hundreds of knives in the last 18 years. I love talking about knives and that’s the reason I’ve created this space to share my knowledge and expertise to help people.

My Journey with Knives

  • When my military dad introduced me to hunting at the age of 10 and I was pretty impressed with his unique collection of knives.
  • I trained for hunting with him for a few months and I hunted my first small game, a rabbit at the age of 11 with a fixed blade knife.
  • I hunted my first big game, a Brown Bear at the age of 15 accompanied by my father due to Alaska guidelines and performed tasks like dressing, skinning and quartering with my fixed blade. 
  • At 18, I got my hunting license and since then, I have been hunting down big games regularly and used various knife types to perform different tasks.
